1938 Ford Deluxe

Ford began an effort to distinguish its standard and deluxe models, starting in 1938.  Standard models were built with 1937 front sheet metal and deluxe models received new, updated front-end styling.  They were distinctively designed with a new heart-shaped grille flowing over the crown of the fender catwalks.  As seen on this 1938 Ford deluxe convertible coupe, deluxe models also benefited from the addition of dual windshield wipers, walnut wood grain window moldings and dash panels, a banjo steering wheel, and a locking glove compartment door with a factory clock.  Additionally you will find a radio and handsome factory instrumentation.  The exterior is adorned with distinctive color-keyed steel wheels with factory hubcaps and trim rings that are mated to wide whitewall tires in keeping with the era.
